Introduction
 The Caribbean coast is quite different than the Pacific
as you will find it is not as nearly built up and the culture/atmosphere
is even more laid back than other parts of Costa Rica. And
that's pretty laid back.
This tour definitely embraces the Caribbean "Jah" attitude.
You'll be staying at the Azania Bungalows, close to surf
and other adventures.
There are a number of great
surf breaks in the area, including
Salsa Brava ("Thick Sauce"). The Azania is actually
right on Playa Cocles (another great break).
In addition to 6 days in paradise and surfing, you will
be taking a fantastic Canopy tour directly from the hotel.

Detailed Itinerary
 Day 1
Drop
down into San José, jump off the plane, and
into the city you go! You'll be staying at the Best
Western Irazu. Just 5 minutes away from downtown, where
there are many restaurants, services, nightlife and fun!
Get some culture and sightseeing in before you slow waaaay
down in the Caribbean!
Day 2-7
Then
jump into your Hyundai Tucson 2005 All-Time 4x4 to the Caribbean.
It's just a 3.5 hour drive to the beautiful beach of Playa
Cocles. You'll be staying at the Azania
Bungalows (includes Bungalow room, taxes and breakfast)
close to many world-famous surf breaks.
 The Azania is among one of the original laid-back Caribbean
villages of Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo, (in the South Caribbean
Coast of Costa Rica), right in front of Cocles Beach, an
enchanting and serene lodge, in complete harmony with the
surrounding tropical rainforest, awaits you at Azania Bungalows.
Designed
and crafted in a unique style that blends traditional materials,
exotic woods and thatched-palm roofs, with a modern building
concept, each bungalow has a particular atmosphere.
 All are
decorated with bamboo lamps and furniture, while ceiling
fans, large windows with mosquito nets and high peaked roofs
allow a refreshing natural air circulation.
Regarding grub, Azania Bungalows offers the possibility
of tasting exquisite dishes in its own restaurant, where
we combine the new Argentinean Cuisine with local ingredients
and flavors.
The Canopy Tour
A nytime during your stay at Azania, you'll be taking a
great Canopy Tour in the area. Over
2.5 klicks of cable with
spectacular views that you won't soon forget.
After picking you up at your hotel, we leave in the direction
of the farm (Carbon 1) situated 30 minutes from Puerto Viejo.
The driver will leave you at the first platform. Behind two
cables from the entrance of the farm, we will enjoy one of
the most spectacular cable (285 meters at 80 meters altitude).
This will carry us directly to the heart of the forest where
we will begin a guided walk by one of our nature guides,
environment.
On the highest platform we will take a break,
where you will be served the fruits and drinks. At the end
of the airial run, we have the possibility to make a descend
from the last platform rappelling, by a tarzan swing or by
a cable to the ground. After this we begin the return, leaving
for the two most spectacular cables.becoming aquainted with
the flora and the fauna of the primary forest such as how
indigenous community utilizes these plants.
After the hike
we arrive at another platform to continue our adventure.
Our Canopy is done by 9 aerial platforms
and 14 on land counting 2560 meters of cable. From the moment we climb to the 8th
platform, we will not return to touch the ground until the
final run at which time we will cross with a birds eye view
of the jungle. Our nature guide will take advantage to continue
explaining on each platform the curiosities which are found
in the lush forest around you.
Day 8
Alas, surfer, time to get back to civilization. You'll stay
another night at the Best
Western Irazu before getting on your plane. Sit back
and relax or go out have one final night of fun and nightlife!
This surfing tour is a great bang for the buck,
