The Beaches of Nosara is an international community on 3000 acres of land and began over 20 years ago. The master plan was mde ecologically sound by providing for many parks and green areas among the subdivided homesites and farms. The full titled sites range from ¼ acre to 20 acres and over 200 private homes have already been built. The village of Nosara is about 5 kilometers inland and has two general stores, building supplies, church, airport, rural guard, post office and miscellaneous shops. SANSA and NATURE AIR offer daily flights 7 days a week into this airport creating a 45 minute commute from San Jose. With the termination of the Taiwanese bridge by mid year, the drive from San Jose will be cut to approximately 4 hours on good roads.
Obviously the exodus of longboarders has brought this destination to its up and coming status, however, nearby activities include outstanding sportfishing, nearby turtle nesting ground at Ostional, hiking, horseback riding and much more.
