Tropico Latino Lodge is located directly on the beach at Santa Teresa de Malpais, 5 km. north of the reserve. Tropico Latino Lodge was opened in 1995 and offers the only accommodations in its category in the area. The lodge is set in a grove of Pochote trees in whose shade lush tropical gardens have been planted. The bungalows combine modern lines and comfort with local materials. A typical palm thatched “rancho” houses the restaurant which overlooks the beach side swimming pool and Jacuzzi. There are six spacious comfortably furnished bungalows, each with a big porch and hammock. The bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and sofa bed, private bathroom and hot water. Jumbo ceiling fans and cool tiled floors keep bedrooms fresh on even the hottest days. Newer bungalows offer air conditioning and ocean views.
