Cabinas La Ponderosa
Introduction
 Cabinas La Ponderosa opened in 1994. La Ponderosa offers 14 acres of lush jungle,
botanical gardens, fruit orchards, and trails leading to a beautiful waterfall. Located in Pavones, the cabinas are across from the Osa Peninsula, in the Golfo Dulce.
La Ponderosa is beach front,
just a short walk from a secluded beach. Because Pavones is located on the west coast of Costa Rica, there are always spectacular sunsets. Additionally, La Ponderosa is a great place to get a
glimpse of the wildlife. Spider monkeys, howler monkeys, toucans, lizards, frogs and sloths are just a few of the creatures you may encounter. Cabinas La Ponderosa is a great destination for
anyone.
You won't be disappointed when you wake up to the sounds of the waves breaking from your bed. La
Ponderosa is a perfect place for surfers. The resort is located one mile south of the point
break (Pavones) and two miles north of the beach break (Punta Banco). La Ponderosa is owned by operated by and designed for surfers. Pavones is one of the longest waves in the world. You also
have the option of taking a boat across to Matapalo to surf one of the many right point breaks. There's also a surf shop.
